The Binghamton metropolitan area (Broome and Tioga counties) is home to nearly 250,000 people. Numerous defense and technology contractors, a state University and community college, as well as many food distribution services, private healthcare firms and two major insurance companies round out a diverse economy. Technology is also a focus, with the area accounting for 13 percent of New York State’s computer and electronic manufacturing jobs.

ABOUT THE BINGHAMTON OFFICE
