Real Estate Salesperson
Pamela ‘Bonnie’ Palmer joined Cushman & Wakefield | Pyramid Brokerage Company in 2020 as Commercial Real Estate Salesperson following a successful 30+ year career as a City Planner and Economic Development Specialist in local and state government.
Bonnie is also a professional Writer and is the owner and principal of WriteTec, Inc., a technical writing company that specializes in grant writing, proposal writing, economic and community development planning documents, business plans and loan applications.
Bonnie has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Alfred University and a Master of Science Degree from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University, with a concentration in Regional Land Use Planning. She is trained by the National Development Council in economic development finance, business credit analysis, and real estate finance.
Ms. Palmer began her career as a Project Developer, coordinating downtown revitalization for the Village of Alfred, New York. She then worked for 14+ years in progressively responsible positions for the City of Syracuse Department of Community and Economic Development, first as an Economic Development Planner, then as an Economic Development Specialist, and ultimately as Assistant Director of Development for the City. Following that, Bonnie served for two years as the Director of Planning, Economic Development and Code Enforcement for the City of Geneva, New York and as Executive Director of the Geneva Industrial Development Agency. She was subsequently recruited by New York State, where she worked 15+ years for Empire State Development, the state’s economic development entity, as a Minority Information / Business Development Specialist, and for a short period, as Regional Director for the eight-county Southern Tier Region and Executive Director of the Southern Tier Regional Economic Development Council.
During her career, Bonnie has had direct involvement with the planning and implementation of several key projects in the Central, Southern Tier, and Finger Lakes Regions of New York State, including a number of major business development and expansion projects, Geneva’s Lake & Exchange Street Gateway Project, the Cornell Ag & Food Tech Park development, Geneva Lakefront Development, as well as the City of Syracuse Lakefront and Franklin Square Redevelopment Projects, Rockwest Corporate Center, Dey’s Centennial Plaza, and the Hanover Square and North Salina Street Revitalization projects, to name a few.
In addition to her work responsibilities, Bonnie served for seven years on the Village of East Syracuse Planning Board. Her focus with Cushman & Wakefield | Pyramid Brokerage Company will be sales and leasing of industrial commercial real estate.
