Originally built in 1867 as a commercial hotel known as the Severson Inn, which catered to the tourist arriving by train from NYC. The building was renovated in 2004 and is known today as Altamont Corners, an eatery and retail shopping plaza. Altamont Corners is on the busy intersection of Rt. 146 & Rt. 156 on morning side of traffic. It is also located on The Museum in the Streets bilingual walking tour. A mosaic of the original building can be seen by all guests for their enjoyment of the rich history.
