ABOUT THE CORNING/ELMIRA MARKET
Home to Corning Glass, Corning is located near New York’s border with Pennsylvania. Though a small city, Corning is a popular state tourist attraction thanks to the Corning Museum of Glass and its proximity to racing capital Watkins Glen. On the banks of the Chemung River, Corning was a water transportation hub and later a central railroad hub with access to two major highways making it a popular location for manufacturing.
Like Corning, Elmira is a manufacturing city with easy access by road and rail. A larger city, Elmira is undergoing a revitalization of its downtown area.
